About the Beans : Ethiopia - Halo Hartume

This is the first year that our partner, Belco, has offered a coffee from the Halo Hartume station, owned by local producers, RAD.
This natural coffee is the fruit of the work of almost 450 farmers spread around the station.
After harvesting, they bring their cherries to the station, which then sorts them meticulously before putting them out to dry on the station's raised beds.
During the drying process, the humidity level is monitored and the cherries are turned every two hours. During the hottest part of the day, the beds are covered to protect the cherries from the sun.
Once dry, the coffee is stored in jute sacks in a warehouse in Chelchele, 5 km away, before being prepared for shipping.
