Join our growing team at Missing Bean! We’re looking for a friendly, energetic, and hands-on General Manager to lead our Charlbury Cafe. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves coffee, food and community, and is ready to take ownership of a busy cafe in the heart of a vibrant town.

About Us: We opened our first cafe in Oxford in 2009 and have grown into a small family of independent cafe's, each with its own local character. We’ve earned a reputation as a reliable source for exceptional coffee, seasonal food, and friendly service. Our focus on quality means we roast our own coffee, bake our own goods, and take pride in supporting our communities.

Charlbury is a hub for locals, families, cyclists, and coffee lovers – and we’re looking for someone who can help us create a welcoming, community-focused space.

What You’ll Do: As Cafe General Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the cafe runs smoothly every day. That means:
Leading and inspiring the team, ensuring everyone feels supported, valued, and motivated.
Overseeing quality control to uphold our high coffee and food standards.
Supporting staff in developing their barista skills and customer service.
Maintaining compliance with health & safety regulations.
Organising equipment maintenance and cleanliness.
Managing staff rotas, stock ordering, and day-to-day operations.
Handling issues as they arise while fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
Building relationships with regulars and ensuring the café remains a warm, community-driven space.

What We’re Looking For:
A natural leader with strong interpersonal skills.
Hospitality or cafe management experience (barista skills a big plus).
Organised, proactive, and happy to get stuck in with the team.
A genuine love of coffee, food and people.
Someone with the confidence to bring fresh ideas and autonomy to the role.

Pay & Hours:
£14.25 per hour
Full-time: 40–45 hours per week
Weekend work required
Earliest start: 7:30
Latest usual finish: 16:30
