We've been lucky to work alongside Vaults & Garden since 2019 and it's been an honour to supply beans to what is an Oxford institution!
Food is at the heart of Vaults - their use of local suppliers, local ingredients, and keeping things sustainable & seasonal - but what's awesome for us is their passion for all things coffee too! They've always made sure to have the best La Marzocco kit on their counters, fully trained baristas, and ensure the beans in their hopper match their ethical & sustainable ethos, and have a real story behind them.
The Vaults & Garden Blend - exclusively crafted by our roasters and Will - is an excellent all rounder and meets all the criteria of their regulars! It's a combination of three of Missing Bean's favourite direct-trade farms. The Brazil Sitio Posses and the Peru Chingama and Nicaragua El Jaguar. These three coffee's roasted together create deep, rich tasting notes of cocoa nibs, caramel, & pecan. A solid option as a punchy espresso, and works wonderfully alongside all types of milk - you'll notice it's there, without it being overpowering. It's an excellent kick-start to the morning with a freshly baked pastry, or a nice accompaniment to a healthy, hearty meal.
