Ruronzi is sadly no more, but the Rwanda run continues. Muraho to a familiar friend: Rwanda Isano
A washed Red Bourbon from the hills surrounding Lake Kivu, Rwanda. In the cup, expect lychee, lemon and Earl Grey, with a creamy body, bright citrus acidity and a clean, tea-like finish.
Isano is grown on the fertile hillsides around Lake Kivu, where volcanic soils and high elevations create ideal conditions for coffee cultivation. The name Isano means “five” in Kinyarwanda, honouring the five washing stations that work together to produce this lot. It represents the collaboration and shared effort behind the coffee.
You'll probably recognise this coffee as a key component of The Original Blend, one of our most-loved fresh roasted coffee blends, where it contributes much of the floral character, brightness and sweetness that make the blend so popular.
This is a limited release and will only be hanging around until our new Kenyan coffees arrive, so make sure you get your coffee delivered before it's gone.
