This May, we celebrated a very special milestone, our Abingdon Cafe turned 5! To mark the occasion, we put together a week of events from 25th–29th May to say a proper thank you to the community and the wonderful team of Beanies who make it the place it is.
We kicked things off on Bank Holiday Monday with an all-day pastry and coffee deal for just £5, because every good birthday needs a treat. Midweek, we handed things over to Tiny Teahouse for a gorgeous matcha evening on the Wednesday, as Abingdon went green for the night. And to close out the week in style, Friday brought limited edition birthday cakes and a brilliant live set from Abingdonian and Missing Bean regular David Ashworth of Ear Candy Oxford, who created an absolute vibe all day long.
It's been a fantastic week, for a fantastic place, for five fantastic years. Time has genuinely flown since we opened our doors in 2021, and we've loved every single day of it.
A huge thank you to Tiny Teahouse and Ear Candy Oxford for being part of the celebrations, and most importantly, to our Abingdon community. Not just for showing up this week, but for every single visit over the past five years. We love you.
